Marist Student Accepted To Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Program for High School Students

Congratulations to Marist High School senior, Nehal Sayedahmed on receiving acceptance into Robert Wood Johnson Medical School’s Mini Medical School for High School Students: Achieving Excellence in the Sciences. This is an evening program that will run from March 5th to April 30th, 2008. Nehal was among the 195 students chosen to participate from almost 535 applicants!

The curriculum will reflect the diverse areas of study encountered in medical school. Nehal will have the opportunity to interact with current medical students on one of the sessions. After Nehal completes this program, she will present a topic of her choice to the students and faculty of Marist High School.

Nehal is consistently a high achiever and a member of the National Honor Society at Marist High School. She recently interviewed for Fall 2008 admissions to Yale University and was accepted into the honors program of New Jersey Institute of Technology to study Biomedical Engineering. “Not only is Nehal an excellent student academically, but she is a wonderful person in character. Nehal’s Marist family is very proud of her many achievements”, said Mr. John Taormina, Director of Marketing and Admissions.
