| Marist High School Honors Academic Excellence | |

Each year, Marist students work extremely hard to achieve academic excellence. To praise and honor this dedication and commitment, families and friends gathered recently at the 15th Annual Academic Awards Banquet held at Marist High School. This year, like every year, the banquet was organized by Ms. Alice Miesnik, Assistant Principal for Academics and drew its largest crowd ever at over 400 guests. Guests came to honor students for various academic achievements. The President’s Award, given to students who achieved 85% or better on standardized tests and have a school average of 90% or better, was given to Diana Betancur, Nia Daye, Reynaldo Garcia, Jr., and Christian Townes, juniors and Nehal Sayedahmed, senior. |
| The Most Improved Award is given for each grade level. Honorees were freshman Tykea Hunt, sophomore Jaime Williams, junior Ivan Victor Almonte, and senior Luis Cortes. Other accolades were given for top ten standing in each class, Spanish Honor Society Induction, and college awards.
